Derek John Boczkowski's Spring 2009 English 110.01 class at The Ohio State University at Newark had to read Steven Johnson's Everything Bad Is Good for You, which makes the argument that much of today's mass media is making people smarter. After reading the book and researching their own texts (TV shows, video games, internet sites), the students are prepared to respond to the ideas they have been negotiating all quarter.
